"Made up of three young artists, Trillogy is offering its listeners more then just your average hip hop. Trillogy's group members, Rita, Jay-Will and OxPro are showing this generation how working together is making them a force to be reckoned with and that together to create great music can make an impact in the music industry.

From collaborating with Freeway on their song We Made It, to creating a smash single Warning, Trillogy has seem to collect not only heavy hitting co-signs but almost seamlessly have combined three exceptional music talents to create their own sound. With all that and a consistent work ethic, Trillogy is insuring their group will be listened to not just heard.

Yo! Raps got a chance to connect recently with Trillogy to talk about their group dynamic, the Underground Music Awards in New York City where they took home the award for Most Original Group Or Duo In 2008, Starr Media Group (SMG), their latest album Love, Life & Loyalty and much more.

Can you introduce yourselves for our Yo! Raps readers and let us know where you are from?

Rita: My name is Rita. I represent the Love story of Trillogy. I was born in Eatontown, NJ but I currently reside in North Cack.

Jay-Will: My name is Jay-Will, (Loyalty) and coming straight out of Strong Island NY. Coram Stand Up!

OxPro: My name is OxPro (Life) representing for Jersey, Gilford park to be exact.

How did you all meet and how long have you all been a group?

OxPro: I met Rita in the streets of Neptune, NJ, through one of my partners, Guttaman. Dre (Andre Davis, Starr Media Group Co-Owner) comes along and tells us he is starting a label. Dre brought in Rita, Rita pulled in Gutta and Gutta brought me in. We have been a part of the Starr Media family for about two years doing projects as solo artists and then Jay-Will comes along and Dre had the creative vision and idea to put us together and form the group Trillogy.

Love, Life & Loyalty is the latest album, who were some of the producers that can be found on the album?

Jay-Will: We have me as one of the producers on the album. Trills, my man Heist and the in-house SMG production team, The Presidentz and Luis "PhatKat" Vega.

OxPro: You have to check out my man PhatKat who produced smash singles such as Warning, The Future, and Die For U. Also a joint on there from my man Draztik from Florida so, it's a big album man!

Did you use any outside writers or is all of the writing done by Trillogy for this album?

Rita: All of the writing is Trillogy. We get ideas from our daily life and those day to day problems we may stumble upon. We use our trials and tribulations to tell a story.

Rita did a collabo track earlier this year with Freeway entitled Hustler's Life, and Trillogy has a song out now with Freeway named We Made It. How did you all link up with Freeway for these collaborations?

Rita: I mean first off we have to give props to Dre Dinero for putting together a boss-ass promotions team. All the people behind the scenes work hard to get us these opportunities, but Maya the Brazillianaire hooked us up with Freeway and when we got in the booth there was magic.

The first time I heard Warning it made me just want to get up and move, it is addictive. What was the inspiration for the song and how has it been received by the fans because it seems to be a different sound then other tracks I have heard?

OxPro: Well Warning was all Rita's idea. She wrote the hook and arranged the song patterns and the sequence. We were in search of a record to grab the ears of the listener. So far, the feedback has been positive... video coming soon!

Rita: Warning is a big song for us. It's a club banger and it also shows people that our group is very well rounded. We can go Fugees and City High but we can flip it and go Black Eyed Peas on you.

I noticed on your MySpace page that there are pictures from the video shoot for your song Warning. Any idea on a release date for the video, and can you give us a little bit into what was the concept behind the video?

Jay-Will: The concept of the video was explaining the scenario of a devious woman trying to seduce a man. I was more like the good voice trying to save him, and every other man who may be tempted. The video is a good look. We shot it in a club with a lot of energy man. I hope everyone likes it. We had a blast shooting it.

Rita: The video should be coming out very soon, so keep an eye out for that. I'll expand on what Jay-Will said a little bit. In the video, the woman is the apple of every man's eye, but she wanted one particular guy. She would stop at nothing to get her claws on him even though one of her previous flings kept coming around to advise this guy to stay away. That's the warning!

Any plans of a tour or shows this summer to promote the new album?

OxPro: Oh yes, definitely tours, shows, everything. We are looking at a lot of things to promote this record. Check our websites for all the tour information and show updates. We always try to keep active and perform whenever we can. Trillogy is definitely in full effect.

Last year you were nominated twice at the Underground Music Awards. I know nominations are coming up again are you going to be submitting for this year?

Jay-Will: Certainly submitting work for the UMA's this year. We are looking forward to the show. I'm hoping that we take home more than one this year. It's also going to be a special event this year because we will be performing for the first time at this years' UMA's. It's definitely looking to be a good night.

Do you find it hard to work on solo projects when you are in a group or do solo projects give you a new appreciation for your group?

Rita: You definitely appreciate working on group projects because of the creative aspects of it. You never get stuck. Three different people yield three different points of view. But every once in a while it's kind of cool to just be able to tell your own story.

OxPro: No doubt, I'm glad you ask that question. To me, when you are in a group it makes the process easier. Now, when I may do something solo, you feel lonely when creating because you are so used to that back up and input from your group members. But also, working on solo projects, you have more of a mindset as to what you want to do or say. I guess I'm neutral with that one. Expect many more group and solo projects from Trillogy/SMG.

How long have you been with Starr Media Group?

Jay-Will: Me personally, I'm the newest member. It's been about a year and change for me.

OxPro: I have been signed with SMG for 3 years now. It's been a great ride so far and up to this point. Shout outs to Dre Dinero, Ronnie Knottz, Deazy and Brad Smallz for holding us down.

Was it at all hard being a multi racial group to get people to listen to your music or pay attention or was that never really an issue?

OxPro: Not at all. Actually me being different than Rita and Jay-Will. I believe attracted more of an audience for the group. People are always wondering what is going to come out of my mouth next, so we are always trying to keep them on the edge of their seats. We feel that we can cover all fan bases.

Rita: I would say it's never really an issue. They look at Ox. He's a white rapper... so what. He got swag and major talent what can they say? Jay-Will is incredibly creative and gifted. He's also the balance of the group. I'm creative like Jay-Will. We're alike, but where he brings edge to the group, I help to make the sound incomparable to any other sound. I stress the help because no one person is stronger or better than the group. They set me up with beautiful ideas and verses and I always take it somewhere they didn't expect it to go. Jay-Will kind of does the same thing but I guess you can say I'm indifferent.

Jay-Will: Nah. I would say it was never an issue at all. The music speaks for itself, and so does the character of our group. We're a family

What advice do you have for other groups coming out onto the scene?

Rita: Always put forth your best. Your best song, your best answer, your best advice, your best image. Make your product its best. Go over it. If it's not your best, go back and fix it. It's not just for you. Your letting the world know who you are.

OxPro: Be yourself, be different, deliver with heart and soul and always keep your ears open for new input and new music. Don't be scared to be different. Keep your swag and try different things. Never stop working at perfecting your craft... ever!

What do you want people to know about Trillogy and your music or message that they may not know?

OxPro: The jewels we are trying to drop is Love, Life & Loyalty. That's the key to success. Never stop loving what you do and never forget your life (where you came from and what you have been through). Stay loyal to your music, your friends and your family...

Jay-Will: I want them to know that Trillogy is a happening that brought many people together. Everyone in and who works with Trillogy share the same aspirations. The project Trillogy turned a dream into a graspable reality for all of us. It labeled each of us brothers and sisters to one another. Trillogy is not just three of us. But it's the beginning of a legacy called Starr Media Group

Rita: Most people think we do this just to get rich or it's all about us. We have a genuine love for our music and the people that accept it. Yes, money is wonderful, but we want to know our music touched someone or changed someone's life.:
